Can I clean any type of filter in the cleaning device?Ultimately you can clean any type of filter that will fit in the container. However, paper / card filters are not recommended.

What cleaning solutions can I use?We do not endorse any cleaning solution.

How many times can I clean my filter using NASH Solutions air filter cleaner?This amount can vary based on the level of soil in the filter. Our amateur riders get 15-20+ filer cleans per quart. Our solution can also be filtered with a simple mesh strainer to extend the life of the cleaner.

How often should I clean out the container?We recommend cleaning after every 10 filter cleaning cycles. However, by cleaning and filtering the cleaning solution on a regular basis this will prolong the life of the cleaning solution. Ultimately saving you money from buying more cleaning solutions.

Do I need to preheat the cleaning solution before cleaning my filter?Cleaning your filter in cold solution is fine in most cases, however for best results we recommend preheating the cleaning solution between 100 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can I clean more than one filter at once?Providing the filters are fully submerged in the cleaning solution and they are not stacked on top of each other cleaning multiple filters at once is fine.

Why can I not use a flammable liquid?Even with the heating element turned off, we use small generators that create sound waves to clean the filter. These gently create heat and can cause fire if flammable liquids are used.

Are there any cleaning solutions not recommended for use in the cleaning device?Always check to see if your chosen cleaning solution is flammable or has a flash point. If it has either, then do not put this in the cleaning device under any circumstances.

I normally wash my filter using gasoline or mineral spirits. Can I still do this?Using gasoline or mineral spirits or any flammable liquid is strictly prohibited from being used in the cleaning device.

Does the lid need to be on the container while I clean my filter?Ideally the lid should be on the container while in use. However, if you decide to remove the container lid, we recommend wearing safety glasses.

I got cleaning solution in my eye. What should I do?None of our staff are medical professionals, therefore we recommend seeking medical advice from a medical professional.

What tools do I need to operate the cleaning device?No tools are required to operate the cleaning device.

Should I wear gloves when handling my filter and the cleaning solution?We recommend reading the directions on your chosen cleaning solution. However, one of the great things about the Nash Solutions Filter Cleaner is its hands off cleaning. Therefore, the amount you handle the filter is very minimal. We have found that most biodegradable cleaning solutions will not cause any irritation to the skin. Harsher chemicals used can cause irritation.

Why is Nash Solutions Filter Cleaner better than the conventional cleaning method of using a container with cleaning solution and massaging and ringing out the filter?Ok sit tight this is a lengthy question to answer because there are so many reasons why our Filter Cleaner is the best way to clean your air filter and since the beginning of time cleaning by hand has been getting subpar results. We have hundreds of hours in research and development before we settled on the Nash Solutions cleaning device method. A: Let’s start with the conventional method. The good old bucket / container with your chosen filter cleaning solution. Firstly, this method is messy and sticky not to mention you’re removing minimal dirt and debris from the fibers of your filter. All while doing this, you’re damaging the air filter's structural integrity. Ultimately most filter cleaning solutions on the market are great for removing the air filter oil but do absolutely nothing to remove the dirt / debris from the fibers of the air filter. Particles of soil, clay, sand, stone, and other minerals are left in the filter. These then end up in your motor / engine this as we all know can be catastrophic and over time will not have a positive impact on the longevity of your motor / engine life. Also massaging, twisting, and ringing out the filter is tearing down the filter fibers this allows more dirt and debris to pass through your filter into your motor / engine. A: The next cleaning method is throwing your filter in a washing machine. At first, we thought this was the best way to clean a filter. After all this is how we clean our clothes and many other items, however after hundreds of hours of testing we realized that this is one of the worst ways to clean an Air Filter for many reasons. Firstly, while the filter appears to be clean on the surface, past surface level the filter ends up with pockets of dirt that clump together and almost become a holding area for all the dirt and debris to be stored. We believe this is created from the repetitive spinning motion or centrifugal force. We also found that the structural integrity of the filter becomes unstable after a few washes using a washing machine. This would lead to you buying a new filter and not getting the maximum life out of your existing filter. A: Another method is putting the filter in a container full of gasoline or mineral spirits. Again, this cleans all the filter oil but does very little for removing the debris within the filter itself. Second, these harsh chemicals break down the filter fibers and dissolves the glue used in the manufacturing process to build and form the air filter. Lastly, gasoline and mineral spirits are extremely expensive.

I can’t see any vibrations in the cleaning solution while the cleaning device is in operation?Nash Solutions Filter Cleaner uses sound waves that cannot be seen to clean the filter. You might be able to see microscopic air bubbles. This is the device hard at work cleaning your air filter.

Can I re-use the cleaning solution I put in the cleaning device?Absolutely you can, we recommend reusing the solution until you notice the filter cleaning quality is not the desired outcome.

How long should I clean my air filter?Depending on how dirty the filter is you could clean the filter for as little as 90 seconds. However, for heavily soiled air filters a 6-minute cleaning would be optimal.

Can I use the Nash Solutions Filter Cleaner to clean my truck or car air filter?One of the great things about the Nash Solutions Filter Cleaner is it can be used to clean just about any reusable air filter that can fit inside the container.

Once I’ve finished the cleaning cycle and allowed the filter to drain off, I noticed there is a lot of dirt and debris on the filter. Is this normal?This is a good sign that you have a clean filter. When you have dirt that localizes and is visible that means that all the dirt that was deep in the fibers of the filter have been extracted. Sometimes this dirt and debris cling to the filter but as soon as you rinse the filter in cold water all that dirt will wash away.

What is Nash Solutions Return Policy?You may return your product to Nash Solutions within 30 days for a full product refund, providing all original tags and packaging are intact and have not been used. To start a return, email info@nashsolutions.com and provide your name, order number, and the reason for your return. Once approved, you will be given an RMA number. Please note Nash Solutions does not pay for returned item shipping nor do we refund the original shipping cost if applicable. You are responsible for the cost of returning your purchase. Once your return arrives, expect a full refund minus your original shipping within 2-3 business days. If the reason is due to an error made by Nash Solutions, we will also refund your original shipping cost.

I’ve received a damaged item what should I do?If you've received an item that has possibly been damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately upon opening the package. We will require photos of the item along with the condition that the box arrived in.
